Offensive Christian Products

Okay, I know the title is misleading.
But whenever there’s a blatant “Christian” product, I’m offended.

Why does everything that has “Christian” ideals have to be so uncreative? Do they think that because I’m a Christian, I’ll like whatever has a “Christian” feel to it?

I hate listening to the FISH radio station. The songs feel bland and unoriginal. I feel like a lot of them see what’s really big in the mainstream music, and try to copy that.

But what I dislike the most is movies that are geared toward Christian.
I just know that if Kirk Cameron, God bless his heart, is in a movie, well it’s just going to boring and not going to stir any emotion but boredom.

Why does the average Christian product have to play safe and assume that we as Christians will just like the product because it’s produced by other Christians?

I have become conditioned to steer far away from any products that are for Christians and endorsed by Christians. For the most part, it’s a waste of time and money.

  1. I agree with you – well most of the time at least. However, you may have spoken too quickly about Kirk Cameron. I have heard good things about the movie, “fireproof”. Have you seen it? I have not seen it myself but several people I know are saying good things about it.

  2. I have not seen it. I’m judging the book by the cover, though my mother told me never to do so. I just don’t want to spend money on something that I may be disappointed with.
