So, thinking it won’t rain, I, out of habit, leave my shoes just lying out near the door. (We take off our shoes before entering the house.)

My wife always reminds me to put it on the shoe rack, but I always forget.

Well, it rained yesterday while I was at church.
3 of my last 4 shoes were soaked. And I think ruined for good. I used to work at Foot Locker and stocked up on shoes (12 pairs).

I don’t want to buy shoes. They’re expensive.  And I haven’t bought a pair of sneakers since 2003.

The moral of the story? Listen to your wife.
