That describes our new service that we decided to move to Saturday evenings.

I’m really excited about this opportunity, whether we fail or succeed. At least we tried something!
At the end of the service, we’re going to have a ‘talk back’ session where we ask questions on the sermon, and just pick the mind of the speaker. Of course, I’m just as nervous as I am excited about this part of the service, because I don’t have any control of where the discussion will go.
But I think it’ll be a great preparation for Board of Ordained Ministry interviews.

I’m also excited because I’m going as casual as I can. I don’t think I can go as casual as to wear my t-shirt while leading worship. But jeans. And maybe a stool to sit down while I preach.

I have no idea what we’re getting ourselves into, or what I’m doing for that matter. But I’m really thankful for the church to be open about trying new things and the church giving us the freedom to do what we feel necessary. And I’m thankful for the presence of God in our meetings and in my heart, because all that is happening, it’s because God is nudgin people to step up and do something, and the people have responded.

I’m just so excited to the point, I’m giddy.
That’s right, giddy. And it’s all because of God.
