Charles Barkley, bless your heart.
He’s the man that once said that he was misquoted in his autobiography.
I think Inside the NBA on TNT with Ernie, Shaq, Kenny, and Charles is the best broadcast team out there.
Anyway, recently, Barkley had this gem of a quote:
But, I mean, if we’re honest with ourselves… isn’t this how we approach like 90% of our theology?
I know for a fact and I’m also guessing, really…
Maybe we could have more meaningful, productive conversations with folks if we give ourselves even an iota of chance that, hey, I could be wrong…
Or maybe I’m just rambling on because I drank a little bit too much coffee and I love Charles Barkley.
I do know that our communities and lives could be more meaningful if we take what Madeline Albright said to heart:
We should use our opinions to start discussions, not to end them.
Or if that’s too secular for you,
Know this, my dear brothers and sisters: everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to grow angry.
Love it!
