I’ve always been curious of how other pastors and church leaders work. So I shamelessly ripped of Lifehacker.com’s How I Work series and began to ask other church leaders questions about their work.

Describe a recent work day:
It’s a snow day for us, so I’m sitting in my recliner gazing in my MacBook Air, as I see the snow fall.
Gadgets/apps/tools that you cannot live without:
Of course my iPhone.
What’s your workspace set up like?
I have a stand up desk and a round table for meeting people. In my office I have a pour over coffee set and a dutch coffee brewer, opened to everyone who stops by.
Best short-cut; life hack you use:
I don’t think it is a short cut, but love a website called canva.com. Helps you to make design professionally, with limited background knowledge.
How do you keep track of what you have to do:
Application called ‘Todoist’
What’s one of the least favorite aspects of what you have to do:
Dealing with opposition, with love
Passion/Side project of yours?
I have few:
1. Woodworking – Love the time in my shop. Get my mind out of things and don’t know how time passes. One area I can be like Jesus.
2. Brewing Dutch Coffee – www.rcumc.org/dutch We started brewing dutch coffee, in my office, for mission fund raising. I can guarantee that it will be one of the best coffee you ever had.
3. Translating ministry resources to Korean – www.Dari-builders.com I translate ministry resources, under the permission of the writer, into Korean and share it with Korean pastors.
4. Uber Driving – This is my way to connect with the community.
What gives you joy about your work:
Small things that come back. A persons comment that starts with saying, “Remember…” Shows that in that person’s memory I exist.
